Your editor sends little “I’m still working” pings with a timestamp attached, and the server adds up the gaps between them. The catch — it never checks whether those timestamps are real, recent, or physically possible. It just believes them. Once you notice that, the whole thing falls over. If you control the timestamps, you control the hours. You can hand the server a tidy row of pings and tell it you coded all night. You didn’t. It can’t tell the difference. I wrote small proof-of-concept scripts for each version of this — fabricating hours out of thin air, forging a long daily streak, and parking myself on the public “currently hacking” board indefinitely — and pointed them at my own account to confirm they actually work. They do. The hours sitting on this profile are the fake ones. That’s the demo. To be clear about the boundaries: I never redeemed any of it for a prize, reward, or anything of value, and I’m asking the team to wipe my hours so nothing fake survives. The actual scripts stay private — they go to Hack Club officials only, never the public page. The point isn’t to hand anyone a cheat tool; it’s to get this patched before someone less polite finds the same thing. The good news is the fix isn’t exotic. The server already has everything it needs to catch this — it just isn’t looking yet. More on that in the writeup I’m sending the team."}]...

Finished a search query function. You can now search the volleyscores web page. Next i’m working on unittests.
Omd just learned some SQLalchemy it’s amazing. Made my first ever database mapped class, other then django models. Hopefully this works when I finish all other classes. (Gif of me looking at my sqlachemy class)
Yipiee I updated all models and the database connector, everything works now. Test runs where OK. So I can move on!
Found the secret already existing not documented and very not easily readable api! I inplemented better api endpoints and better responses that are better documented. Glad I found this, this will speed up development so much!
Just finished a get_club function! You can now parse a club with the api!
Added a get team route. MVP is now ready!
Fought with dokploy not wanting to start my container after I changed the swagger docs a little. Dokploy now does what it needs to do for deployment and my docs are up to date! (Image of me fighting dokploy)
While working on my other project volleystats I stumbeled upon some bugs that needed to be fixed regarding the json output, dates and times that where in the wrong place. These 40 mins also account for debugging that I did on volleystats.
Been refactoring scraper.py to handle seasons properly. Fixed a bunch of parsing bugs in get_team(), added get_ranking(), and ripped out the /history/{season}/ URL hack in favor of just passing a se param. Now it figures out the current season from the date so I don’t have to manually update a constant every summer. Pretty happy with it.

What I built. ⤷ Today I built the first working prototype of the Solarwake dashboard. It has a mission selector, placeholder mission risk values, live Kp data from NOAA, and more. I also implemented a small astronaut dog mascot. My realization. ⤷ After attempting to build a space weater mission control simulator- I realized that it feels too “normal” and not something a user would like. I came to the realization of making it feel more like a room full of screens, live systems, decisions that can affect the mission in real time, and a actual 3d viewer of what’s going on. The change. ⤷ So I am changing the direction of this entire web app. The next devlog + version will have a first screen where users choose what mission to run, and pick what they want to be(a astronaut, ISS mission capsule, etc). After clicking play, they will be able to control what happens to their selection through a full mossion control simulator. The main screen shows a actual astronaut or spacecraft in space and the control panel lets users change data like power mode, shielding, communications etc. 🎯 THE GOAL: Make the app feel more interactive & visual. Currently it feels boring and doesn’t “hit”, users should be able to learn how space weather actually affects a mission in real time through their mission controlling strenghts. 🔮 The future. ⤷ Now I am going to build Solarwake with 2 phases: A mission select screen where users can pick what they want to control A mission control screen where their decisions make a impact visually.
